Bashagha holds phone call with Britain’s Ambassador to Libya

Libya’s parliament-appointed prime minister Fathi Bashagha, received a phone call from Britain’s Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall.

Bashagha stated, in a tweet, that he had discussed with the British ambassador about the military escalation carried out by armed groups.

During the call, Bashagha affirmed his government’s commitment to the principle of preserving the ceasefire agreement and the safety of civilians, and called on the international community to play its part towards these actions.

The Libyan Prime Minister also expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the United Kingdom in supporting the democratic path and achieving security and stability in Libya.
