Al-Sarraj discusses amendments to draft decision to improve medical staff salaries
The President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Fayez al-Sarraj, met Monday at the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, with representatives of the Committee formed by a decision of the Presidential Council to study the salaries of medical and paramedical personnel, and in the presence of the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and director General of the National Center for the Development of the system Health, and a member of the Medical Syndicate.
The meeting discussed the results of the Committee’s work and recommendations. Several observations were forwarded to the legal Department of the Ministry of Justice for legal opinion, and some of the proposed amendments were debated in order to draft the decision on salaries in an integrated and formal manner.
For his part, the director of the National Center for the Development of the health system presented to al-Sarraj the measures taken to regulate the health professions and provide service through the integrated health zones, according to the Department of Communication and Information of the Presidential Council.
