Al-Najjar hands over responsibilities to the new head of the NCDC
The head of the National Centre for Disease Control handed over his duties to the new appointed director chosen by the Government of National Unity
Dr Badreddin Al-Najjar, the outgoing Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control, and Dr.Haider Al-Sayyah, the newly appointed Director-General of the NCDC, designated by the Government of National Unity, were honoured today during a reception event at the headquarters of the NCDC.
The reception and recognition ceremony began with a statement by Dr Al-Najjar, who provided an outline of the Centre, its responsibilities, and the role it plays in dealing with pandemics, immunization, and preserving society’s health.
The previous director also emphasized the significance of preserving the Centre’s investigative divisions, branches, and networks throughout the nation.
Dr. Haider Al-Sayyah, for his part, thanked the previous director and members of the Committee for Delivery and Reception, as well as the whole staff of the National Center for Disease Control, for the warm welcome and their ongoing efforts in combating the Covid-19 virus and keeping the country safe.
The new Director also stated his desire to finish the process of establishing and growing the NCDC, as well as his readiness to work together to preserve the country’s and society’s health and security.
