Al-Jehani: UNSMIL has no right to interfere in elections law
Member of Parliament, Issam Al-Jehani, said, that the interference by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) in the internal affairs of the Parliament is a blatant interference in the work of the Council.
Al-Juhani denounced, in exclusive statement to Al Raed Media Network, the statement of the UNSMIL towards the parliamentary and presidential elections on 24 December 2021 is not the first intervention it has undertaken.
He believed that the UN mission was creating sedition and obstructing the framework.
Al-Juhani concluded his statement by saying: “UNSMIL has no right to interfere in the electoral laws, articles and clauses. Rather, it is the original competence of the House of Representatives, and the laws will not be in the mission’s mood.”
