Al-Ghusri: ISIS sleeper cells seen in Garabulli, east of Tripoli
The spokesman for the Libyan Anti-Terrorism Military Operation of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Mohammed Al-Ghusri told Ean Libya that ISIS sleeper cells had appeared in Garabulli area.
“This is going to be very dangerous to the country; ISIS sleeper cells must be termintaed.” Al-Ghusri added.
He also said that the ongoing offensive against Tripoli by Khalifa Haftar’s forces is directly benefiting ISIS.
Haftar’s attack on Tripoli has been ongoing since April 04 and has led to over 530 deaths, over 2500 injuries and about 90.000 displaced people.
Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous uprooted ISIS from its stronghold in Sirte in about seven months of fierce fighting in 2016.
