Airstrikes by Haftar’s forces kill one civilian, injure nine others in Tripoli
Warplanes of Khalifa Haftar’s forces carried out an airstrike on Saturday on civilian houses and a police training camp in Tajoura in eastern Tripoli, damaging along the way some parts of the National Heart Center in the area.
The head of media office of the Health Ministry Wedad bin Niran said on her Twitter account that several civilians were wounded in the airstrikes, including a child and two women.
Fawzi Awnis, the spokesman for the Health Ministry’s crisis and emergency committee said 9 people had been injured and one was killed in Haftar’s airstrikes on civilian houses in Tajoura.
Tajoura mayor Hussein bin Attiyah deplored the airstrikes and described them as violations of Libyan and international laws and conventions.
