Central Region Operation Room in Al-Jufra city announces Zallah district a military zone
The Military Operations Room of Central Region in Al-Jufra city has announced in a statement that Zallah district is now a military zone.
The Operations Room said Tuesday evening that the military forces in the city have begun military operations in Zallah to eradicate what it called “the terrorist militias and the mercenaries of the Sudanese opposition Movement (Justice and Equality) whom the statement accused of destroying and looting at the oil fields located nearby Zallah district.
It also said that the reason behind this step is to besiege ISIS militants who are hiding in Sirte, calling on all the residents in Zallah to be careful and limit their movement.
Earlier, armed clashes took place early on Tuesday between Khalifa Haftar’s forces supported by forces from the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement and Tirpoli-based General Staff forces supported by the General Staff air force, which took off from Misurata airbase.
