Kobler reiterates support for Presidential Council in securing oil fields
The UN delegate to Libya, Martin Kobler, has reiterated his support for the Presidential Council in the measures it had taken to secure the oil fields and ports.
On his Facebook page, Kobler said that according to UN Security Council resolution (2278) condemns any attempt to illicitly export oil by any illegitimate or parallel organization that is not recognised by the UN-backed GNA.
“All parties in Libya must respect the role of the PC in exacting security in the country as it is the only legitimate body.” Kobler stated.
On Wednesday, the UN placed the Indian-flagged Distya Ameya vessel, which attempted to export oil illegally from Tobruk for the Benghazi-based parallel National Oil Corporation, on the black list.
