General Union of Libyan Trade, Industry, and Agriculture Chambers urges CBL to release piled goods from ports
The General Union of Libyan Trade, Industry, and Agriculture Chambers has issued a statement urging the Central Bank of Libya to release the piled goods from the ports by facilitating the procedures of cash covering for those goods.
The Union said the CBL should quicken the measures as its committee has already sent a letter to the CBL telling it that the navigation companies sent the goods and the bills that reached 459 million dollars, which also were filed in the letter to let the CBL check their validity.
The Union explained that it did so in order to save itself from paying the dues for the ports for the delay on the ports’ floors and the delay of emptying the goods containers, saying it wants this to be done in order to create balance in the market regarding the prices.
