Flights diverted to Misrata airport as Tripoli Mitiga airport shuts down over unrest
The Director of the media office of Libyan Airlines, Saad Bu Khetwa, said all flights coming from abroad have been directed to Misrata airport sinc Wednesday night.
Bu Khetwa reaffirmed that the transfer of the flights destination from Tripoli’s Mitigate airport to Misrata one is for the safety of the citizens and planes.
He also confirmed that everything will go back to normal after the security situation is stabilized in the capital.
Meanwhile, Wednesday saw some skirmishes between pro-Serraj Presidential Council and anti ones in the center of the capital, which were then cooled down, yet it remains unclear whether they ended or not.
