Al-Sarraj addresses Libyans from Tripoli, calls for reconciliation and protection of 17 February principles
Fayez Al-Serraj, the Prime Minister of the UN-backed Government of National Accord and the Head of the Presidential Council, said in a presser Wednesday following his arrival in Tripoli Naval Base that the GNA will do its best to achieve a comprehensive reconciliation around Libya.
Al-Serraj clarified that the GNA has been decisive on saving the Libyans from the bloodshed and that is why it is going to work on expanding the participation of all parties in accord and reconciliation initiatives, adding that the GNA won’t eliminate any Libyan party from the political scene.
“This is a new historical era for the Libyans, all of the Libyans must build the country of institutions and laws and effect ceasefire and stop the bloodshed. We must all unite to fight Daesh (ISIS).” Al-Serraj indicated.
He also stressed that the GNA will urgently work on unifying the state institutions, especially the financial ones so that all Libyans receive their necessary living standards.
