Libya to host first Forbes Middle East Investment Summit
Libya will hold its first Forbes Middle East Investment Summit in May 2025, following an agreement between the Ministry of Communication and Political Affairs and Forbes Middle East’s Libya representative, JRN Consultancy.
Minister Walid Ellafi described the partnership as “a historic moment for Libya” that demonstrates the country’s commitment to attracting global investment. The summit aims to showcase opportunities across energy, infrastructure, technology, tourism and agriculture sectors.
Forbes Middle East CEO Khuloud Al Omian said the event would help connect Libya with global investors. “Forbes Middle East is dedicated to fostering growth and collaboration across the region,” she stated.
The summit will address renewable energy development, infrastructure modernisation and entrepreneurship opportunities, while highlighting Libya’s tourism potential and agricultural development plans.
JRN Consultancy CEO Ruwaida Abela Northen emphasised the summit’s role in positioning Libya within the global investment landscape.
The event marks Libya’s efforts to enhance its international business profile and leverage its strategic location between Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
