Al-Aradi: Call for foreign forces withdrawal remains legitimate

Abdul Razzaq Al-Aradi

Libyan writer Abdul Razzaq Al-Aradi has defended demands for foreign forces to leave Libya, calling it “a legitimate demand and a right for every Libyan.”

Writing on X platform, Al-Aradi addressed current political dynamics, noting that many current officials, including ministers of justice, interior, foreign affairs, industry and planning who supported the February revolution, previously held positions in the Gaddafi regime.

Al-Aradi emphasised that the February revolution’s core demands remain valid, representing aspirations across Libya’s cities and regions. These include comprehensive national development, establishing a state based on justice and law, and building strong institutions.

“February played its role, but its demands still stand because they represent entire cities and regions,” Al-Aradi stated, adding that these demands reflect the aspirations of all Libyans regardless of their background.
