Iran and Libya discuss strengthening bilateral ties

Both sides agreed to pursue political consultations and arrange high-level official visits in the coming period.

Iran’s ambassador to Libya Ainullah Souri met with acting Libyan Foreign Minister Al-Taher Al-Baour on Monday to discuss potential diplomatic visits and cooperation between the two nations.

According to the Libyan Foreign Ministry’s Facebook statement, the Iranian Foreign Minister is considering a visit to Libya to enhance bilateral relations.

The officials reviewed opportunities for joint cooperation and discussed plans to activate bilateral committees. The meeting also addressed the possibility of organising an Iranian industrial exhibition in Libya.

Both sides agreed to pursue political consultations and arrange high-level official visits in the coming period.
