Libya holds vast untapped oil reserves
National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Farhat Bengdara announced that 70 percent of Libya’s territory remains unexplored for oil resources, suggesting significant growth potential for the sector.
Speaking at a workshop in Cairo, Bengdara emphasised NOC’s commitment to developing these resources through international partnerships.
The two-day event, organised jointly by NOC and the US Department of Commerce, began yesterday. It aims to strengthen ties with international oil companies and explore new technological developments in oil production.
Representatives from major international oil and energy companies attended the workshops, which focus on investment opportunities in Libya’s oil and gas sector.
