Taher Al-Baour, the acting Foreign Affairs Minister

Taher Al-Baour, the acting Foreign Affairs Minister, convened a meeting Wednesday with directors of political and technical departments, including the Director of the Inspection and Control Office.

The officials assessed the ministry’s 2024 performance and discussed operational challenges. The meeting focused on developing work mechanisms and creating a strategic vision for 2025.

Al-Baour emphasized the need to maintain professional standards in diplomatic operations. He noted that while 2024 marked increased international engagement through diplomatic activities, 2025 should build upon this progress.

The meeting addressed performance evaluation for 2024, current operational challenges, and solutions for administrative issues. Officials also discussed strategic planning for 2025, employee performance standards, administrative workflow improvements, and ongoing file management.

The ministry aims to strengthen its diplomatic presence following its increased international activities in 2024.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
