Sabratha activists protest violence in the city, call for fighting ISIS
A number of activists organized a sit-in in Sabratha city on Friday to renounce violence and protest the current lack of security in the city, calling on all of the city’s residents to unify in the fight against ISIS, which they said is growing in numbers around Libya.
The activists also called on Libyans to reject division and start bridging the gap among all Libyan tribes so that they can all fight the current terror threat hand in hand.
Earlier this month and in February, Sabratha that is located to the west of Tripoli saw violent clashes between the city’s military council fighters and ISIS militants leading to the defeat of ISIS and its escape out of the city.
