Ahmed Malitan, head of the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Authority, and Ministry of Health department heads also attended the meeting.

Abu Janah announced the launch of the second phase of the government’s cardiac care initiative. This phase includes performing complex cardiac surgeries and training national medical personnel under the “Return of Life” project, which aims to expand advanced cardiac care access within Libya.

Abu Janah outlined the Ministry of Health’s plan to equip public hospitals and specialised medical centers with essential resources. He detailed the ministry’s ongoing efforts to establish specialised heart surgery capabilities across the country.

The meeting focused on implementing new technologies and techniques for complex cardiac procedures, with the goal of developing sustainable, high-quality cardiac care services for Libyan citizens within their homeland.
