Baby boy at centre of Tunisian human trafficking case

A shocking case of human trafficking has emerged in Kasserine, Tunisia, where a criminal network involved in the sale of a baby boy was dismantled by authorities on Saturday, Libyan Express has learned.

Sources reveal that the infant’s mother allegedly sold her own child, with another woman facilitating the transaction.

Police, in collaboration with the Public Prosecutor’s office, swiftly arrested the mother, her brother who was reportedly present, and the woman who acted as an intermediary.

Disturbingly, the woman who allegedly purchased the baby is believed to have already fled Tunisia with the child.
