Rotten onions from Egypt seized in large quantities

The Libyan Stability Support Apparatus (SSA) seized in Janzour region a large quantity of unfit for human consumption big onions imported from Egypt.

A raid was conducted by the Janzour branch of the SSA in collaboration with the Environmental Sanitation Department and the Libyan Food and Drug Control Center (FDCC).

According to our correspondent, when the SSA members opened the door of the storages, strong bad smell was experienced from rotten onion.

Investigations revealed that the 30,000 kilograms of rotten onions had been imported by a businessman in Libya.The stock was destroyed in the presence of every party involved in the campaign.
