Misrata central hospital stops medical operations
Misrata Central Hospital has announced that it will no longer carry out medical operations starting next Saturday, keeping only the emergency ones.
The head of media and medical awareness bureau in the hospital, Abdulazeez Essa, said this decision came due to the lack of anesthetics in the hospital and in the market because of the current Libyan crisis.
Essa added that the hospital is waiting for the anesthetics to come from the Medical Supply Authority in Tripoli after it promised to make them available in three coming weeks.
Worth mentioning that the surgeries and medical operations that took place in the Misrata central hospital reached 485 ones last February alone.
