Al-Swehli: Al-Mishri and Aqila are negotiating with Egyptian intelligence
The former head of the High Council of State, Abd al-Rahman Al-Swehli, said that the speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, and the current head of the High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mishri, are bargaining under the auspices of the Egyptian intelligence over the installation of a 10th government and distribution of sovereign positions instead of approving the election law.
‘Al-Mishri and Aqila, with their expired legitimacy, insist on usurping the right of the people instead of approving the election law in order to come out with some honour and leave the Libyans to choose who governs them.’ Al-Swehli added on his Twitter account.
He described Al-Mishri and Saleh’s actions as ‘thuggery’ that must be rejected by all means, the era of deals has ended and the time for elections has come, as he put it.
