Russia looks at reopening mission in Libya
The Russian Embassy will return to function from Libya, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Representative of the Russian President to the Middle East and Africa, has confirmed.
Bogdanov told reporters that the opening of their embassy in Libya would be “very soon.”
Last April, officials at the Ministry of the Interior discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs at the Russian Embassy in Libya, Jamshid Poltaev, security mechanisms and arrangements for reopening the Russian Embassy in Tripoli.
The Russian diplomatic mission in Libya has been operating since 2014 from Tunisia after their evacuation from Tripoli for security reasons.
