Malta donates 40,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Libya
Malta will deliver 40 thousand doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Libya in its goal to assist neighboring countries in combating the pandemic
The Maltese government has stated that Libya would receive 40,000 doses of the Coronavirus vaccine to assist the country’s Government of National Unity’s immunization program.
According to the Times of Malta, officials from the Ministry of Health of Malta would deliver 40,000 doses of an anti-corona vaccination as soon as possible, along with an undetermined number of test kits.
According to sources close to the Maltese Ministry of Health, the cargo will be transported to Tripoli on a government-chartered aircraft after identical test equipment was given to Tunisia last week.
The paper noted that during his April visit to Libya, Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela pledged to assist the neighbouring country in resuming normal life and that this pledge was made in the context of the resumption of direct flights between the two countries, the reopening of Malta’s embassy in Tripoli, and the establishment of a consulate in Benghazi.
