Following the re-opening of the coastal route connecting eastern and western Libya, the first batch of petrol and diesel-fueled trucks from the Central Misrata Brega storage arrived at the Sirte gas stations after a 17-month hiatus.

According to local sources, this batch of gasoline tankers belonging to the Alrahila oil company came following cooperation between the municipality of Sirte and the appropriate authorities with the Security Arrangements Committee of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission.

According to reports, a number of additional batches of gasoline trucks will come in turn for different fuel stations in and around Sirte, which include more than 20 fuel stations owned by four oil service companies: Alrahila, Libya Oil, El Sharara, and Highway Services.

The sources also verified that gasoline would be delivered to all stations on a daily basis.
