Al-Mangoush meets her Italian counterpart in Tripoli
Najla Al-Mangoush, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation met with her Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio, and his delegation in the Prime Minister’s Office in Tripoli.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs official website, the visit of the Head of Italian Delegation to Libya was part of the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity’s efforts to strengthen and unify institutions.
Minister Di Maio is scheduled to open the Italian Consulate in Benghazi during his visit, according to the same source.
Abdelhamid Dabeiba, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, also met with the Italian FM to address a range of bilateral problems, including migration, the withdrawal of foreign forces, and cooperation in a variety of industries.
In an earlier statement upon arrival, the Italian Foreign Minister commended the coastal road’s inauguration, noting that this visit comes just days after the road’s opening, emphasizing the significance of this important milestone.
The Italian Minister also underlined his country’s willingness to cooperate and work with Libya in a number of economic, commercial, and other areas, particularly in the country’s south.
