Suspension following Eid extended in most universities due to increased fears of Covid-19
The Ministry of Higher education issues decision to extended suspension of education in most universities pending the evaluation of the epidemiological situation
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has declared a temporary extension of the study suspension at all institutions until the end of the month, with the exception of universities situated in regions and towns with stable epidemiological conditions.
The Ministry of Health stated that the study’s suspension was prolonged until the end of this month, pending an assessment of the epidemiological situation with the appropriate authorities, such as the National Center for Disease Control and the Ministry of Health,
Libya recently reported 1,710 cases in less than 24 hours, a shockingly high amount for the north African country after months of gradually decreasing case counts following the commencement of the countrywide vaccination campaign.
Libya’s Government of National Unity stated that the country’s borders with Tunisia will be temporarily closed, followed by an assessment of the epidemiological situation to decide if the crossings should be reopened shortly or prolonged.
