Al-Menfi reaffirms Libya’s commitment to supporting Tunisia in the face of Covid-19
Libya's Government once again reiterates its support for Tunisia during its time of crisis
During a phone call between the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, and Tunisian President Kais Saied, the Libyan official promised his Tunisian counterpart that Libya would continue to support Tunisia in its battle against Covid-19.
The authorities also exchanged greetings on the occasion of the auspicious Eid Al-Adha, according to the Presidential Council’s Media Office.
Al-Menfi reiterated the depth of the peoples of Libya and Tunisia’s brotherly connections and historical links, and emphasized that the stability of the security situation in Tunisia will have a beneficial effect on the security situation in Libya.
According to the Council’s information office, he also said that Libya continues to support its sister Tunisia in this critical situation.
Libya’s Government of National Unity stated that the country’s borders with Tunisia will be temporarily closed, followed by an assessment of the epidemiological situation to decide if the crossings should be reopened shortly or prolonged.
