The Security Directorate in Zuwara announces the seizure of a facility that built wooden boats intended to be used for the illegal migration from Libya to Europe
The Zuwara Security Directorate announced the seizure of a facility dedicated to the manufacturing of wooden boats intended to smuggle illegal migrants.
The Directorate explained in its official statement on Monday that the facility was located at the west of Zuwara and on the coast, and that three Egyptians on the site had been apprehended by security forces.
According to the Directorate, those arrested admitted to manufacturing boats for illegal migration and that they continued to do so until they intercepted two vessels.
According to the accused’s confessions, the facility was owned by a Libyan from a nearby city who rented the rest, and the Directorate also revealed that the detainees had been held and that legal actions against them had been commenced.
