After obtaining the approval of the acting Ministers of Finance and Interior and completing the procedures on the Tunisian side, Boqara stated that the maritime line will be a connection between Libya and the Shadi Wadi and Gargis in a statement to a Tunisian radio station.

The Director of the Cooperation Council reported on an attempt to establish a maritime line for the Libyan community between Europe and the Tunisian city of Gargis, with a monthly capacity of 4,000 passengers, 1800 high and commercial vehicles, and 12 thousand tons of goods.

He said that they had made requests to the Tunisian authorities, specifically the Governor of the Central Bank, Marwan Abbasi, and Finance Minister Ali Al-Kali, to facilitate Libyan banking, noting that the emphasis would shift to the Ra’s Ajdir line once the Tunisia-Misrata line was opened.
