NSG Foreign Minister: foreign military intervention is rejected
The Foreign Minister of the National Salvation Government, Ali Abu Zakouq, said no military intervention would be accepted in Libya whatever the drive could be.
In a televised statement Saturday, he confirmed that he did not talk to any Italian media outlet about Italy’s military role in Libya as part of a foreign military action against Libya’s ISIS.
“I did not invite Italy to lead military action in Libya, we ourselves can fight those terrorist groups and if the west wants to help us, they should coordinate with us in advance.” Abu Zakouq stated.
“We will not tolerate foreign troops on our territories.” He added.
Days ago, AKI, the Italian news agency reported Abu Zakouq statement to Correrie Della Sera newspaper as saying that it is a good thing if Italy would lead a military intervention in Libya against ISIS.
