Afriqiyah Airways sends $2 billion corruption files to Attorney General’s Office
The Afriqiyah Airways company has sent corruption case files to the Attorney General’s Office asking it to investigate into accusation of $2 billion financial corruptions in the company, sources from the Afriqiyah Airways reported.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Press Solidarity Monday that the corruption accusations revolve around a dubious deal for buying new airplanes.
In connection, the Afriqiyah Airways staff held Sunday a protest in front of the Prime Ministry headquarters to complain about intervention in the company’s work and decisions by some State officials.
The staffers also called for arresting those officials and sending them to the Attorney General’s Office and then to court to force them to compensate for the losses the company had suffered, the sources added.
