The Chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanalla has stated that his office has gathered evidence that proves the eastern parallel NOC has been trying to sell oil illegally to some has-been firms for prices less than those assigned by OPEC.

In a video statement posted on Monday on social media, Sanalla said the evidence proves also that several members of the House of Representatives in eastern Libya have been involved in attempts to illicitly sell oil for personal gains.

Sanalla added that the NOC has given the evidence to the Attorney General’s Office and to the Security CouncilCo Sanctions Committee for legal action against the figures involved.

The NOC’s Chairman also condemned the media negative coverage and propaganda that is paid to accuse the NOC of terrorism funding and other criminal acts, saying the NOC is going to take legal action against those media outlets.

He also condemned the attacks on the Tripoli Medical Clinic and said it had been completely burnt, denouncing the militarization of the oil sector in Libya.
