36 days of war on Tripoli, over 100.000 people displaced

The death toll is coupled with a tragic wave of displacement in southern Tripoli areas, especially Qasir Benghashir, Khalit Al-Furjan, Ain Zara, Wadi Rabea and others, where Haftar’s forces have been pushing toward any entry into the main capital areas, but in vain so far.

The fact that over 100.000 people have been displaced so far makes it the more difficult for Tripoli residents to endure the current military escalation as they are forced out of their houses and have to stay in schools, public institutions, donated rentals and hotels, or at their relatives’.

In the meantime, Haftar’s forces continued targeting civilian houses and migrants detention centers in southern Tripoli and in eastern Tripoli areas like Tajoura.
