A well-informed source at the High Council of State (HCS) told Libyan News on Sunday that the news on media outlets and social media about the attempts of the Government of National Accord (GNA) to reshuffle the government and announce new appointments are untrue and baseless.

The source added that some media platforms said there will be a new unity government announced by the GNA before Eid celebration, “which is fake news,” he said.

The rumors said the shuffling will target three government institutions, 68 bodies and 30 minatorial portfolios.
