Le Monde: Libya’s Haftar admitted to Paris hospital
Libyan military commander Khalifa Haftar has reportedly been hospitalized in France after suffering a stroke, according to French media reports Wednesday.
Le Monde citing its sources reported that Haftar was first hospitalized in the Jordanian capital Amman before he was transferred to Paris.
Radio France Internationale said Wednesday that Haftar has been suffering from cancer for over three mnths and has been visitng Jordan for treatment.
The French Foreign Ministry did not comment on the reports.
However, Libya’s Alnabaa TV quoted Haftar’s spokesman Ahmed Al-Mismari as denying all such reports, adding that the military leader remains in good condition and did not suffer a stroke.
