Libya and Turkey’s Prime Ministers agree to revive old business contracts

The Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez Al-Serraj and the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım have agreed to revive old contracts signed between Libya and Turkey in order to carry on business cooperation.

On the margins of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Summit in Sitanbul, Al-Serraj met Yıldırım and agreed that Turkey will regain economic collaboration with Libya, consenting to forming joint committees to follow up on the old contracts and resume work in infrastructure projects and other needed issues in Libya.

The meeting that took place on Tuesday also saw the two countries agreeing on assigning a joint committee of technical and security teams from Libya and Turkey to check of the validity and security of the resumption of Turkish airline companies’ flights to Libya, according to the GNA media office’s Facebook page.
