Al-Ahly Tripoli loses 0-2 against Etoile du Sahel, departs CAF Champions League
Egypt’s Amro Mare scored twice in Etoile du Sahel’s 2-0 victory over Ahli Tripoli in the quarterfinal’s second leg of the CAF Champions League.
After a goalless first leg, Marei scored his first ever goal for the Tunisian giants when he opened the scoresheet in the 14th minute from a wonderful header after finding Hamdy Nagguez’s finely placed cross, to put the Sousse-based club in the lead.
Ahli Tripoli, led by Egyptian coach Talaat Youssef, tried to comeback in the second-half but, once again, conceded another goal in the 47th minute through the 25-year-old Egyptian who scored another header after a great collaboration with Etoile’s Amine Chermiti.
Etoile Du Sahel will face Al Ahly in the champions league semifinal, where the first leg is set to take place on the 29th or 30th of September at the Stade Olympique de Sousse.
