Tunisian airliners consider resuming flights to Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport
A Tunisian delegation from the Civil Aviation Authority met with the Chief of the Tripoli-based Mitiga Airport, Lotfi Nasnosh, and had a walk around the facilities of the airport to see if it is secure and ready for the resumption of Tunisian airliners’ flights after over two years of suspension.
The delegation focused on checking the conditions of security and safety as well as other vital facilities inside the airport, according to the Facebook page of the media center of Mitiga Airport. .
For security reasons, Tunisia closed its airports for Libyan airliners in August 2014 and then prolonged the closure in Carthage airport more than once till it was lifted in April 2016.
