253 Nigerians deported in cooperation with IOM
On Tuesday, 253 Nigerian nationals, who were detained in migrants shelter centers in Libya, were deported on a voluntary programme under the supervision of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
The Nigerians were aided by humanitarian assistance before they boarded the plane off to their country of origin.
Libya has become immigrants favorite place to start a sea trip to Europe since the closure of the Turkey route after the deal with the EU last year.
