Misurata military council rejects dragging Tripoli into war
In a statement on Sunday, the Misurata military council announced its rejection of any fighting in the capital and the dragging of the western region in Libya into war.
The spokesman of the council, Ibrahim Baitelmal, denounced the statements of the Operation Dignity spokesman Ahmed Al-Mismari in which he said their forces will fight terrorism in Tripoli.
“We have met today with the military council of the western region and the mountain districts including Zintan’s military council and we all stressed the rejection of any military action in the capital or the western region.” Baitelmal indicated.
He added that the commander of the Zintan’s military council assured them that their city will not be used to launch attacks on Tripoli under any circumstances.
