Water supplies back to normal in Tripoli
Sources at the Great Man-Made River in the south said that water supplies have returned to normal in the capital and its suburbs.
“Water is now 100% OK in the capital and there no complains about shortages.” The sources said Monday.
The residents of most areas in Tripoli and in its suburbs complained last Wednesday about acute shortages and cuts of water supplies in their houses.
The shortages, according to the Great Man-Made River’s administration, come due to the process of fixing some equipment in Al-Hasawana water system in Jafara.
It also reported last Wednesday that the shortages are a result of individual vandalism as one person stole a valve for one of the water pipelines and made it leak, which necessitated emptying it and then refilling it with water, which would take a couple of days.
