UN delegate to Libya forced to leave Tobruk city by protesters
The UN delegate to Libya, Martin Kobler, was forced to leave the city of Tobruk in eastern Libya by angry protesters who demnded he should leave before he could enter the city.
Kobler arrived Tuesday in Tobruk airport and was welcomed by the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Imhemed Shaib.
However, when he wanted to leave the airport and go to the HoR building in the city for meetings, he was intercepted by an angry gathering of people who forced him back to the airport.
Kobler left Tobruk after discussing the Libyan Political Agreement and dialogue process for the Government of National Accord endorsement in the airport conference lounge.
