Greek Foreign Minister visits Tripoli in a bid to soon open embassy
Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias is to conduct an official visit to Libya on Monday amid reports that Athens is planning to reopen its embassy in Tripoli and restore diplomatic relations with the North African country.
Greece’s embassy closed at the end of July 2014 due to civil strife in Libya.
Kotzias is to meet with his Libyan counterpart Mohamed Taha Sayala and Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Serraj.
