Real Madrid beats Leganes 3-0 as Ronaldo renews contract
Real Madrid beat Leganes 3-0 at the Bernabeu with Gareth Bale and Alvaro Morata on the scoresheet as Zinedine Zidane’s side extended their winning run in La Liga to four games and moved temporarily five points clear at the top of the table with Sevilla hosting Barcelona in Sunday’s late match.
Bale’s state of grace continued against Leganes as the Welshman took the match by the scruff of the neck at the end of the first half. Luka Modric made his eagerly awaited return to action from the bench and Raphael Varane was excellent at the heart of Madrid’s makeshift defence.
