Bodies of Libyans recovered off Sabratha shores after boat bound to Italy capsized
The Libyan coastguards recovered Monday bodies of two Libyan families off the Sabratha shores after they apparently drowned trying to cross the Mediterranean to Italy.
No specific number for the drowned persons has been released yet, however, the Libyan Coast Guard confirmed that they are Libyan.
The Head of the Illegal Immigration Interception Bureau, Bassim Al-Gharably, confirmed that they received a tip-off about two boats crossing the sea toward Italy.
He pointed out that Libyans have started to be lured into immigration by some cells in the city of Sabratha.
The bodies of the drowned Libyans washed Monday morning alongshore and the coastguards confirmed there were no Africans among them.
