Kobler: Khalifa Haftar must have a key role in upcoming Libyan unity army

The Head of the UNSMIL, Martin Kobler, said Friday that the most important issue in Libya now is to solve the current crisis by forming a unity strong army with Khalifa Haftar having a very essential role in it.

Kobler added in other press statements that the timing of the Paris International meeting is very vital as it will discuss the current urgent needs of the Libyans and the Libyan country as well as the international support for the Libyan Political Agreement.

An international meeting for the countries in support of Libya will take place in France, Paris, this week and Libya’s issues and crises will be the core topics on the table, besides establishing more support for the UN efforts in Libya.

On the other hand, Kobler tweeted that when he speaks about Libya, he speaks about those who are unable to get their voices across and be heard; he speaks of those who suffer from power outages, medicine and basic services shortage, and he speaks for the children and youth.
