NOC concerned about clashes at the oil ports

07

The National Oil Corporation expressed its concern about the clashes taking place at the oil crescent region between Dignity Operation forces and Petroleum Facilities Guard forces.

“The vessel Seadelta with a Maltese flag was supposed to ship a load of oil from Ras Lanuf, but when clashes broke out, it was tugged away from the terminal for safety reasons.” The NOC explained.
the Chairman of the NOC, Mustafa Sanallah, said the tugging of the vessel is a provisional procedure to make sure it is safe, adding that Ras Lanuf has not been affected by the clashes so far.

“Oil tank 12 in Essidra oil terminal has been set ablaze and soon the fire will be contained” Sanallah added.

He also called on all the fighting forces in the oil crescent region to avoid damaging the infrastructure of the facilities, which are for all Libyans.
