Serraj government denounces ISIS attacks on Al-Sidra, offers condolences to oil guards victims

The Presidential Council of the national accord government (Serraj government) has denounced the attack carried out by ISIS militants on Al-Sidra oil port and the oil crescent region, calling on all Libyans to help resist this terrorist organization.
In a statement Monday, the Council explained that it is following closely the ongoing escalation and it is studying the options available to combat ISIS (also known as Daesh) and foil its attempts to take over the Libyans’ natural resources, pointing that the council will provide those who were affected by the terrorist groups’ actions with the needed humanitarian aids.
“We offer condolences to the families of the dead oil guards and the civilians who were victims of the attack as they showed great valor in their sincere protection of the oil ports.” Concluded the statement
