HoR sources: Agreement on a new Presidential Council headed by HoR member Shuayab
A source from the House of Representatives in Tobruk said the members and the Speaker agreed not to endorse the current UN-backed and internationally recognised Presidential Council.
The source, who asked to remain unidentified, told Press Solidarity Saturday that the HoR agreed on picking a new Presidential Council with one head and two deputies, stating that they agreed on picking MP Emhemed Shuayab as the head and Aqilah Saleh backs this move up.
The source added that many international parties support this move as a solution saying there is an international support for Shuayab to be the head of the Presidential Council, pointing out that this will be announced by the HoR in the coming days, according to the source.
